Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026 -- pending final legal review
This privacy policy is in draft form and subject to final legal review. The provisions below represent the intended data handling practices.
1. Information We Collect
PeptideVerify collects information you provide directly when submitting samples (contact name, email, organization, compound and vendor information, lot details), when creating an account (email address, name), and when contacting us. We also collect standard server logs including IP addresses and request metadata for security and operational purposes.
2. How We Use Information
Submission information is used to coordinate testing, maintain chain-of-custody records, and publish results. Contact information is used to provide status updates and respond to inquiries. We do not use your information for advertising or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
3. Published Data
Analytical results are published without personally identifiable information about submitters. Submitter names and contact details are not included in published records. Where a submitter requests anonymity, no organizational or individual attribution is made in the public record. Vendor names, compound names, and lot numbers are published as part of the result record.
4. Laboratory Partners
We share submission information and physical samples with contracted laboratory partners for the purpose of performing the requested analytical testing. Laboratory partners are contractually prohibited from using submission information for any other purpose.
5. Data Retention
Submission metadata and chain-of-custody records are retained indefinitely as part of the analytical record. Physical samples are retained by the laboratory for 90 days after report issuance, then disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations. Account information is retained for the duration of your account and for a period after account closure as required for audit purposes.
6. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. Platform data is stored on infrastructure with access controls, encryption at rest, and audit logging. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Requests may be submitted to contact@peptide-verify.com. Note that published analytical results are part of the permanent public record and cannot be removed based solely on a personal data deletion request.
8. Cookies
We use session cookies for authentication and minimal analytics cookies to understand platform usage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking for commercial purposes.
9. Contact
Privacy-related questions may be directed to contact@peptide-verify.com.
